GA4 Page Insights — See Your Analytics Without Leaving the Page

If you work with Google Analytics 4, you know the drill. You’re browsing your website, you spot a page that looks off, and you want to check the numbers. So you open GA4 in another tab, navigate to the right report, type in the page path, pick a date range, wait for it to load. By the time you get the data, you’ve lost the context of what you were looking at.

I built GA4 Page Insights to skip all of that.

It’s a Chrome extension that shows GA4 page-level data in a side panel while you browse. You open a page on your site, the side panel shows the numbers for that page. You click to another page, the data updates automatically. No tab-switching, no manual filtering, no waiting.

What it shows

For every page you visit, the side panel displays eight core metrics with period-over-period comparison:

  • Total revenue
  • Key events
  • Engaged sessions
  • Engagement rate
  • Bounce rate
  • Average session duration
  • Average engagement time per session
  • Views per session

Each metric shows the current value, the percentage change from the previous period, and the previous period’s value — so you can tell at a glance whether things are trending up or down.

Below the metrics, two breakdown tables show where traffic is coming from:

Sources — a source/medium breakdown (e.g. google/organic, facebook/paid) with sessions, key events, and revenue for each.

Referrers — the specific referring URLs driving traffic to that page, with the same three columns.

Both tables support pagination and are sorted by sessions by default.

Date range and comparison

You can switch between 7-day, 28-day, 90-day, or custom date ranges. The comparison period is calculated automatically — selecting 7 days compares the past week against the week before. Every metric and table updates when you change the range.

  • One-click copy to clipboard (formatted text, ready to paste into Slack or a doc)
  • CSV export for all metrics
  • Right-click any page and select “View GA4 Page Insights” to open the side panel
  • Preferences are saved between sessions

Privacy

The extension uses Google’s OAuth 2.0 with read-only access. It never modifies anything in your GA4 account. All API calls go directly from your browser to Google’s servers — no data passes through any third-party. Nothing is stored after you close the side panel.

Who it’s for

Anyone who regularly checks GA4 data at the page level: e-commerce managers reviewing product pages, content teams checking post performance, SEO practitioners auditing landing pages, agency folks pulling quick numbers during client calls.

The value is simple — it puts the data where you already are, instead of making you go somewhere else to find it.

做电商或者管网站的人应该都有这个体验:浏览自己网站的时候,想看看某个页面表现怎么样——跳出率多少、有没有互动、带来了多少收入。

按正常流程,你得切到 GA4 后台,找到报告,输入页面路径,选日期,等加载。来回切几次之后就烦了。

GA4 Page Insights 是一个 Chrome 插件,做的事情很简单:在 Chrome 侧边栏里直接显示你当前浏览页面的 GA4 数据。打开一个页面,数据自动出来。切换到另一个页面,数据自动刷新。不用开 GA4 后台,不用手动筛选。

展示哪些数据

每个页面会显示八个指标,每个都带环比对比:

  • 总收入
  • 关键事件数
  • 感兴趣的会话数
  • 互动率
  • 跳出率
  • 平均会话时长
  • 每次会话互动时长
  • 每次会话浏览次数

每个指标旁边都有百分比变化和上一周期的具体数值,涨了还是跌了一眼就能看出来。

指标下方还有两个细分表格:

Sources(流量来源) — 按 source/medium 拆分,比如 google/organic、facebook/paid,每行显示会话数、关键事件和收入。

Referrers(引荐来源) — 具体的引荐网址,同样显示会话数、关键事件和收入。

两个表格都支持翻页,默认按会话数降序排列。

日期范围

可以切换过去 7 天、28 天、90 天,或者自定义日期范围。对比周期自动计算——选 7 天就对比上一个 7 天。所有指标和表格会同步更新。

隐私

插件通过 Google 官方的 OAuth 登录,只请求只读权限,不会改动你 GA4 里的任何数据。所有请求都从你的浏览器直接发到 Google 服务器,不经过任何第三方。关掉侧边栏后数据不会保留。

做独立站的、跑广告投落地页的、做 SEO 写内容的、帮客户管网站的——只要你日常需要看 GA4 页面级别的数据,这个插件都能帮你省掉在后台翻报告的时间。

体感上最明显的场景是审查落地页和产品页:你打开页面,侧边栏直接告诉你跳出率、互动率和收入来源,不用再开一个标签页去后台查。连续看十几个页面的时候,效率差距就出来了。
